Henry King Ransom professor of Law, presso University of Michigan. Professore emerito a Stanford, dove è stata direttore del Stanford Law School's Program in Law, Scienze e Technology. La sua ricerca si è concentrata sulle teorie dei contratti e della proprietà intellettuale, sui limiti degli stessi, e sulle questioni legate alla mercificazione.
