Work-life balance. Flash Eurobarometer report
In order to address the underrepresentation of women in the labour market, the European Commission has launched an initiative on Work-Life Balance that aims at enabling people with caring responsibilities to better balance their work and family life and encouraging a better sharing of caring responsibilities between women and men. In the context of the European Commission’s initiative and with the aim of raising societal and political awareness, this Flash Eurobarometer survey sheds light on the opinions of European citizens towards different Work-Life Balance measures. The Eurobarometer survey helps comparing the citizens’ needs and the availability and practical use of leaves and flexible working arrangements in the Member States. As one of the main aims of the initiative is to improve gender equality, differences in the responses given by women and men are of particular interest.
