Post-doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Tampere. She finished her PhD on care services and inequality in 2014 and has since then worked both on social acceptance and potential use of care technology care of older people. Currently Van Aerschot works at the Centre of Excellence in Ageing and Care, University of Jyväskylä. Her research interest include reforming the care service provision, unmet care needs and care work in the Nordic countries.
